Ben, an ex Mossad agent whose daughter was killed in a suicide bombing, is reluctantly persuaded by his mother to go to Sarajevo during the civil war and save her Muslim childhood friend. When asking for help from his former Mossad colleagues, he is requested in exchange to verify that the Sarajevo Haggadah is safe. In Sarajevo the old lady states she will only leave with her 7 member family, including 14 year old Layla reminiscent of Ben's own daughter. Helped by the attractive Perla, the local head of la Benevolencia Jewish organization, Ben will use his old skills to successfully bring the convoy out of the besieged city. He will also reassure himself on the safety of the Haggadah. |
